Exhibition
To Fold a Shadow is now on exhibit at Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen in Santa Fe until the end of September 2025.
The work invites you into a mission in a divided city—part spy novel, part alternate history, part resistance tech.

About the Work This painting follows the story of a spy in disguise—a beekeeper—seen escaping on an ornithopter at the top of the map. His mission takes him through a surreal landscape toward a mysterious and dangerous void—an anomaly that has swallowed entire regions and left the world divided. The beekeeper’s mission is tactical, but it’s also emotional: a search for alignment in a world where both sides test his role, loyalty, and sense of self.
Materials & Process Mixed media on stretched canvas, 36 x 36 inches: watercolor, ink, tracing paper, golden paint, and collage. Created in tandem with the novel To Fold a Shadow, this piece anchors a monthly series of fiction, world-building art, and behind-the-scenes work, shared through my Reading room.
Acknowledgments Special thanks to Soma Franks for her generous support and to the new owners of Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen for giving this work a home. Deep gratitude also to everyone who has followed this story or shared their time reading.
Availability This original artwork is for sale and available for future exhibitions. I also take commissions and offer private art lessons—paintings, drawings, or mixed media works created for your space, project, or collection.
